“Made in Vietnam” - Update

Dear Supporters,

Thank you to everyone who has donated! Thanks to your support, we have raised $1,654 so far. We are now $3,346 away from reaching our goal. Your generosity has made a tremendous impact on Huong’s life. We are deeply grateful for every one of you!

We are pleased to share that Huong made it through surgery successfully. However, she still has a long road to recovery ahead. Please keep her in your thoughts and help us spread the word by sharing our campaign with your friends and followers.

Huong is 17 years old and was injured in a textile mill in Vietnam. Why should you donate? Consider this: consumers in the West are able to buy new clothes at a low cost due to the fact that companies are able to manufacture clothes in Vietnam and other places to keep labor costs low. This doesn’t only mean low wages, but no workers comp, fewer safety regulations, and worker protections. Huong will not receive any help with medical bills or paid medical leave. Not only is this a devastating and painful experience, it is a tremendous hardship for her family. It is up to us to help fund her healthcare costs and get them through this tough time.

Deep gratitude,

Across The Sea Foundation, Inc.
